1) Essay Questions
The essay questions are on the top of page 3 of the application.  The entire essay (all questions combined) should be a maximum of 3 pages double spaced.

2) Eligibility (Non-US Citizen)
If you are not a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, we would not be able to pay you the stipend if you were selected and we would have no funds to pay for your room and board.  Due to very strict grant guidelines, we can only support US Citizens or Permanent Residents.

3) Problem with start date
If you are selected for the program, most likely we would be able to talk to someone at your school or university and get you excused early (we've dealt with this issue many times in the past).  Our summer students must start on the given start date as they will have mandatory training during that first week.

4) Does the Lab offer other programs if a student is not eligible (not an undergraduate but still in school)
Unfortunately if you are not eligible for our Summer Student Program for Undergraduates we have no other organized programs for students.  You may want to check out our Courses, Meetings, and Workshops for alternative "educational" opportunities.

5) Extra recommendation letters and resume
You are welcome to submit more than two recommendation letters if you feel this is important to your application (no more than 4 letters).  You may also include a resume if you wish.

6) SAT, ACT, PSAT scores
If you are a high school student, or a college or university freshman, you are welcome to include SAT, ACT, or PSAT scores in your application if you wish.

7) Research interests
When filling out your application please list the research areas you are interested in.  You may list specific interests in the essay portion of your application.

8) Transcripts
If you are in your first year of college, please include your high school transcript as well as your college transcript.
